Inhabiting a soul 2018

This body of work has evolved from a feeling of 'living through a fog, a tangled mess penetrating the soul of it's people. Surrounded by conflict, bodies have been reduced to ghost like figures suspended in the mist of chaos. The war in Syria started as a relatively small demonstration against Government policy into a full scale that has proved and impossible human rights disaster.

Fragile but at times dense, masses of mesh, form skeletal forms that grow like weed, out of control, wandering through time. The task of construction is tedious, using fine wire, beginning with tying and knotting continuous wire thread, which as it expands grows into a fine mesh cloud. Seeping through like a mould.
